How we work
Temporary Employment Registration
We will arrange a convenient time for you to attend an interview with one of our experienced employment Consultants. Upon registering with your details with our recruitment offices you will be asked to complete various forms and provide information about yourself, this is to help us establish more about you and what you are looking for in terms of employment and service from Miles Recruitment. As part of the registration procedure and a requirement by law you will also be asked to provide one of the following forms of identity:
Proof of UK National Insurance Number
- NI Card
- Old Payslip
- P45
- P60
- Social Security Books
- Letter from Inland Revenue
Proof of Eligibility to Work in The UK
- Birth Certificate
- Passport
- Picture Driving Licence
You will also be asked to provide your Bank or Building Society details.
As part of our employment skills assessment you will be asked to provide information on any experiences or skills you feel are relevant to the jobs you are looking for, this may include education or recruitment history, we will then utilise this information to match you to jobs we feel suit those experiences best.
If you are registering for employment with our Commercial Division you may be asked to undertake tests that assess your IT literacy, i.e. typing or data input ability and speed.
When completing the job seekers registration form, as a requirement by law you will be asked to provide at least two referee's, preferably from previous and/or current employment. However, if you are a student and unable to provide employment references and are attending University or College we are happy to accept references from Lecturers/Tutors. It is essential that we reference all of our Candidates as it is a safeguard for not only ourselves but more importantly to our Clients.
Once we have completed the job seekers registration procedure we will discuss any current job vacancies we may have available with you at that time. However, we will also send your CV to Clients where we feel there may be vacancies or future vacancies that are relevant to the employment you are currently seeking.
When we find a suitable job assignment for you, you will subsequently be provided with all of the information that you will require, including the nature of the assignment along with timesheets.
